Here at culture we write a lot about cheese. But sometimes, that’s not enough. Sometimes, we want you to join us in writing about cheese.
Why should you blog for culture? There are lots of reasons!
- Free cheese: We often team up with cheesemakers to help them introduce a new product, craft a new cheese, or tell the story of their cheeses. When we do this, we like to send cheese to bloggers so they can get up close and personal with the product they are writing about.
- Exposure: The culture website is pretty popular and your writing will be hosted right here. Our homepage is visited by thousands of unique readers each day and those eyes will be directed to your writing (as well as a link back to your blog). In addition, we’ll be promoting you on our social media feeds including Facebook and Twitter.
- Giveaways: Free cheese for yourself is great and all, but we don’t stop there. Many of the projects we do involve giving away even more cheese—as well as stuff like boards, spreaders, aprons, and more—through your own blog. You’ll be the blogger equivalent of the kid who brought cupcakes to school.
- Becoming a better writer: You know what’s usually behind a great writer? A great editor (or two or three). Writing in a vacuum can be tough, which is why we like to work with our blogger and give them editorial feedback so they can improve their writing.
We’ve paired up bloggers with a number of fantastic cheesemakers including Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese, Coach Farm, BelGioioso, and Sartori to name a few. Projects have ranged from giving feedback on a still-in-development cheese to trying a newly created cheese and suggesting names for it, to writing that use cheeses. And we’re sure that new projects will be just as fun—and just as delicious!
