This week’s fan photo winner is Hans-Erich V. from Southern California, who shared his photo of Montgomery’s Farmhouse Cheddar. As he explains, he cut right through the middle of a plug which had been removed from the wheel with a cheese trier, which allows the cheesemaker to taste how a cheese is aging—without affecting the entire wheel.
