Join Saxelby Cheesemongers and Diane St Clair of Animal Farm for a Buttermilk Tasting Menu and Book Signing at Ardesia on Saturday, October 26th from 2-4pm.
Diane St Clair is a darling of the dairy world... her exceptional butter is sold exclusively to Thomas Keller's famed restaurants. Her buttermilk, which is the liquid left over from the churning process is unique and delicious. It's a culinary throwback to another era, when butter was made fresh every day. And in the kitchen, it's good for more than just pancakes!
This Saturday, meet Ms St Clair and taste dishes crafted with her singular buttermilk! Guests will be treated to a three course Buttermilk Tasting Menu paired with wines. Chef Amorette Casaus and beverage director Mandy Oser have prepared the menu, which includes microgreen salad wraps with green goddess dressing, harrisa dressing, and caesar dressing, artichoke and spinach crostini with buttermilk béchamel, and shrimp and grits.
Attendess will also receive a signed copy of the Animal Farm Buttermilk Cookbook! Diane St Clair will give a brief presentation about her farm, her new book, and what makes her butter (and buttermilk) so special!
