Camel Milk Mixologist Whips Up Milkshakes
At a new hotel in Abu Dhabi, there's a resident mixologist unlike any other -- he works with camel milk. Mohammad Daoud concocted the idea when crafting a beverage to serve during Ramadan. He says he settled on camel milk as his dairy of choice due to its high concentration of vitamins and minerals. Drink up!
“I wanted to create something special for the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan," Daoud said in a press release. "Because camel milk has a high level of protein and additional nutrients, it’s an excellent beverage to consume during Sohour, the meal taken prior to sunrise for Muslims fasting during Ramadan."
