Italian Lessons (with Cheese)
Learning a foreign language is certainly made sweeter by learning about the region's cheeses simultaneously. And as Madame Fromage has discovered, teaching a foreign language is also made sweeter with free cheese. Caciocavallo and Salva are her cheese-baits of choice for her Italian tutor. What would you choose?
I secretly believe that eating cheese will help us retain our new vocabulary — not that cheese will make us smarter, but I know I won’t look at Caciocavallo or Salva again without thinking of the Italian alphabet, which we learned on an overcast Sunday in February at our kitchen table.
