Hello cheese lovers and happy Sunday! While you were busy celebrating the independence of our grate nation, we were busy scouring the internet for information on what truly matters most in this world. That’s right, cheese. So while you are recuperating from the pandemonium, feel free to kick up those tired, sunburnt feet and dive on in to this week’s dose of cheese news.

Here’s what you might have missed:

  • As a 90’s kid, there are many things that throw me into a fit of nostalgia – The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, combat boots, Britney Spears, and Planters Cheez Balls. Well, I am happy to report those balls of fluorescent orange goodness are back after a 12-year hiatus.
     
  • Wheel and Wedge closed its doors this weekend, but it’s possible they will pop back up in Kansas City. We’ll let you know when they do!
     
  • Honey & Co, an iconic London restaurant, is serving up their secret recipe for a dish involving goat cheese, walnuts, and figs. Need I say more?
     
  • Attention cheese lovers, America’s dairy farmers need your help. Convince everyone in your life to EAT MORE CHEESE, or the trade wars will put them out of business.
     
  • Due to rising import costs, Brexit may lead to a cheese crisis. British cheese lovers have already seen a price increase with Comté, Manchego and burrata. 
     
  • Fine Cyprus, seizing a load of cheese illegally crossing your borders is one thing. But destroying it? That’s just uncalled for.

  1. But there is another cheese shop that open few months ago on Penn ave, across the children’s hospital. And we have cheese that no one else in Pittsburgh have!
