Litehouse Caramelized Pear & Gorgonzola Tarts
Caramelized pears and shallots paired with Gorgonzola Cheese Crumbles make this a perfectly crisp appetizer.
  1. 1 package (12 count) Phyllo Cups
  2. 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  3. 2 medium Bosch pears diced
  4. ¼ cup diced shallots
  5. Salt, to taste
  6. ⅓ cup Litehouse Simply Artisan Gorgonzola Crumbles
  7. ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  1. Heat the oven to 350°F. Arrange the phyllo cups on a lined baking sheet.
  2. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and add in the pears and shallots. Season with salt. Continue to cook over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes or until caramelized.
  3. Divide the pears and shallots evenly among the phyllo cups. Divide the Gorgonzola and walnuts evenly to top the phyllo cups. Bake for 15 minutes and serve warm.
