Pimento Cheese Cheese

Sweet Grass Dairy is more than just how we make our living; it's our way of life. Co-owner Jessica Little grew up helping her parents manage the 350-acre dairy farm that continues to provide our grass-fed milk today. In 2000, her mother Desiree launched the farm's cheesemaking operation, one of the very first in the Southeast - and three years later, Jessica and her husband Jeremy returned to Thomasville, Georgia, to help grow the farm. In those early years, Jeremy learned that old-world cheesemaking meshed perfectly with his training in the culinary arts. And Jessica discovered that her natural aptitude for business was a perfect match for her passion for the family farm.

Together, Jeremy and Jessica have brought Sweet Grass Dairy from a local Thomasville staple, to an artisanal cheese brand with national reach. Their vision for growth has stayed loyal to the values our farm was built on: keeping a healthy, barn-free herd grazing on grass grown year round under the Georgia sun. Continuing in the family tradition of rotational grazing, the Littles believe that great cheese starts with ensuring that their cows are cared for and content - because healthy, grass-fed cows really do make the best milk. And the best milk makes world-class cheese.

Pimento Cheese has been a magical comfort food for over a century in the South. Our Pimento cheese is a unique adaptation on the classic recipe which includes our very own Thomasville Tomme, mayonnaise, piquillo peppers and pimentón from Spain. This Southern classic has a slightly spicy, smoky flavor and a creamy, spreadable texture.
