Katie Machen is a writer, editor, and cheesemonger based in Jackson Heights, Queens, where she works as shop manager and, on occasion, cheese writing instructor at Stand Alone Cheese. Katie is the co-editor of the chapbook anthology Eating Alone: Essays & Reflections, and her work has appeared in River Teeth (Beautiful Things), Entropy, Off Assignment, and others. Originally from Maryland, Katie holds an MFA in creative nonfiction from Queens College, CUNY.
