What better way to tackle issues like feminism and intersectionality than with a pizza metaphor? Akilah Hughes, who runs the YouTube series Akilah Obviously, created a video doing just that.
Here’s the basic premise: It’s tough for pizzas living in a burger world. But, we should realize that cheese pizza, as the most beloved of all pizzas, has an easier time of it than deluxe pizzas with weird toppings that are harder to find. Cheese pizzas need to start fighting for the rights of deluxe pizzas, too!
Clearly, there is nothing wrong with cheese pizza, but we all know that cheese pairs well with a lot of other foods that can make the combined flavors really soar. Also, let’s not ignore the fact that are a lot of different kinds of cheese you can put on your pizza. The cheesy metaphors are endless.
