Recalled Sargento products

Check your fridges: Sargento has recalled its Ultra Thin Sliced Longhorn Colby and Chef Blends Shredded Nacho & Taco Cheese products over concerns of a potential listeria contamination. Affected Longhorn Colby packages have “sell by” dates of April 12 and May 10, 2017, while recalled Shredded Nacho & Taco Cheese products have “sell by” dates of June 14 and July 12, 2017.

Deutsch Kase Haus, LLC, who supplied the Longhorn Colby to Sargento, notified the company of the possible contamination. Sargento says no illnesses have been reported so far.

If you’re unsure whether your Sargento product is affected by the recall, you can enter its UPC or “sell by” date here or call Sargento’s Consumer Affairs line at 1-800- 243-3737 between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Central time.
