This week’s fan photo winner is Appel Farms Cheese, who posted their flavorful shot of saffron manchego. Manchego, a semi-soft to firm sheep’s milk cheese, typically has a creamy white interior, but the added saffron has given the pictured wheel a rich yellow-orange hue. We can only imagine that the added spice has imparted it’s warm, pungent, and slightly sweet flavor to the cheese as well.
