Alpine Grilled Cheese


Emmentaler cheese, white wine, mustard…hm, sound familiar? These ingredients are usually found together in fondue, but not today — it’s grilled cheese time! Food blogger The Sugar Hit has crafted a simple recipe for making fondue portable. We’re on board! Find the recipe below.

This is no standard cheese on toast, amigos. Forget just grating your cheddar onto some bread and sticking it under the grill. This is, essentially, a very thick fondue poured onto toasted sourdough, on top of a layer of slowly caramelised, buttery onions.
