My Drunk Wife Makes “Grilled Cheeses” Viral Video

Finally – a late-night drunchies session that resulted in something productive! A viral video entitled My Drunk Wife Makes “Grilled Cheeses” shows comedian Ashely Bez making a drunken, cheesy creation. While the video was actually a comedy sketch (Bez isn’t married and she was sober when she made the video and improvised “grilled cheese”), the recipe is real enough for us to want to make it. The ingredients? Goldfish crackers and string cheese.

According to Bez’s slurred instructions, dump a handful of crackers onto a microwaveable plate, then peel apart the string cheese and place the pieces in a criss-cross pattern on the bed of crackers. Heat everything in the microwave for 15 seconds, and you’ve got yourself an easy, cheesy, late-night snack.

While the two ingredient recipe is part of a joke, the result isn’t. As Bez explained to MTV’s Neal Stastny, “I have eaten that exact snack for real. Any of my roommates has seen me do that before. So that part is not far from the truth.”

Bez might be onto something here. If you’re ever in too much of an inebriated state to make a real grilled cheese, this could be a lazy, fun alternative that doesn’t involve turning on the stove. If you decide to try it, just make sure you remember the lesson from this video: Wait for the cheese to cool!
