Born and raised around family farms in Iowa, Anna Juhl grew up eating and preparing the traditional foods of her Czech, German, and Swedish relatives. As an affirmation of her love of food and cooking, Anna owned Juhl Haus Market & Café, a food oasis in Salt Lake City. Anna was known both for her ability to source the finest cheeses and other comestibles from European and American artisan producers and for creating a unique shopping and dining experience for her customers. Today, Cheese Journeys’ travelers have the chance to meet and learn from these specialty food producers in their own locale, often dining at their tables. Anna offers a warm and personal style of hospitality which lies at the heart of Cheese Journeys.
