The Bacon-Wrapped Grilled Cheese: Revisited.

If you’re one of our many avid web readers, you might remember a piece I wrote a few weeks back about the Bacon-Wrapped Grilled Cheese that Buzzfeed had originally shared inJune. To sum up the post, let’s just say I wasn’t the biggest fan of the whole concept. However, while I fully thought I’d get a few comments and likes on Facebook from it, I was in no way expecting a heated debate to break out between those who were pro-BWGC vs. those who were anti-BWGC. Some of you were really brutal, which in all honesty is fantastic. One of the greatest gifts that a reader can give a writer is a strong response to something they’ve written, even if it’s about a dumb old sandwich wrapped in bacon. After reading through the comments, one thing became clear: I’d have to try one. A few packs of bacon and a cloud of smoke later, and we were having ourselves a Bacon-Wrapped Grilled Cheese taste test. Was the sandwich as bad as I expected? Can you taste the difference between a high-quality cheese and vegan cheese when they’re both encased in bacon? Did we make it through the tasting without clogging an artery? You’ll just have to watch and see for yourself.
