Summer Sliders with Creamy Havarti Cheese
Serves 8
For the onions
  1. 2 onions
  2. Olive oil
  3. Salt
For the chipotle mayo
  1. 3 Tbsp. mayonnaise
  2. 1-2 tsp. chipotle in adobo, chopped
  3. Salt
For the sliders
  1. 10 oz. ground beef
  2. Olive oil
  3. Salt and pepper
  4. 8 slider buns
  5. 1 heart of romaine lettuce, divided
  6. 1-2 tomatoes, sliced
  7. 8 ounces CASTELLO® Creamy Havarti Cheese, sliced
  1. ► Cut the onions into thin slices and sauté over medium heat in olive oil, on a hot pan.
  2. ► Sauté until onions turn golden brown, 10-15 minutes.
  3. ► Add salt to taste.
  4. ► Mix mayonnaise with chipotle chilies and salt to taste.
  5. ► Shape the meat into 8 small patties and fry in olive oil at high heat.
  6. ► Season with salt and pepper.
  7. ► Top with cheese and let melt.
  8. ► Dress the buns with the chipotle mayo, top with lettuce, tomato, sautéed onions, and patties.
  9. ► Serve immediately.
